Terms of service
What you agree to when you use Miles, and what we agree to in return.
This document is an outline, not a finished agreement. The headings below are the ones it will cover; the wording is still being written and reviewed. Nothing here is binding yet. Questions in the meantime: help@miles.audio.
1. Who this is between
The parties, the service being described, and what counts as accepting these terms.
2. Your account
How accounts are created, one person per account, and what happens if a login is shared or lost.
3. What Miles does and does not promise
Miles gives opinions about audio. It is a companion, not a guarantee. This section will say that in the exact words it needs to be said in, including that Miles can be wrong.
4. Your music stays yours
Ownership of everything you make and everything you send. Nothing in this agreement transfers rights in your audio.
5. Acceptable use
The short list of things that will get an account closed, and what happens before it is.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
How the free and paid plans work, when charges happen, and how to stop them. Refunds are handled separately.
7. Changes to the service and to these terms
How changes are announced, and how much notice you get before one takes effect.
8. Liability
Limits of liability, stated plainly rather than in capitals.
9. Governing law and contact
Which law applies, and where to write.
